Day 69 & 70
The last couple of days we have tried to cover as much territory as possible. Other than beautiful scenery, not a lot of reason to stop. We did make it onto the Cassiar Highway and stayed at a campground that was nice but out in no where. It was originally an old road house and the original log building was in good shape. The campground and all the buildings were ran off generators. So many areas we have traveled thru lack access to electricity. We have stayed at several places without electricity and some with only handpump water available. We enjoyed walking around the campground and even enjoyed a game of horseshoes! The next day we headed out and found a nice campground that was set at the base of a huge mountain. A really nice couple owned and operated it. They had a nice log home but are hundreds of miles from anything. I guess everyone has different ideas of ways to live. It sure takes a special type to live so isolated. Here are a few pics from last couple days.
