Day 65 Whitehorse x 2

We were just a few miles from a Transportation Museum so decided to check it out. It is a very nicely done museum that is a work in progress.  Learned a lot about how varies means of transportation paved the way to their development.  Also learned how the harsh conditions determined what was possible to be utilized.  Here are a few pics from this museum.

This is worlds largest wind vain. It actually turns with wind direction.
After leaving we headed downtown to go to the MacBride Museum which housed historical artifacts from the early days of Whitehorse. Here are pics from there.

We had a busy day and enjoyed a nice meal downtown before going to dam and fish ladder. The fish ladder is a system used to get fish around the dam plus they track the number and well being of salmon as they come upstream. It was very interesting to visit and watch thru observation windows as fish came thru.  Heres a couple pics.

How aboriginal trapped fish

A sucker fish and a grayling.  Salmon havent made it this far yet.
