Day 27 End of Alaskan Highway

We left Tok and hopeful for better roads, well they did get better, but still had our fair share of construction. Frost heaves are for real!  We did finally make it to the official end of the Alaskan highway also known as Alcan. Of course we had to take advantage of the photo op marking the end of this historical highway. I cannot begin to imagine the sacrifaces these men made to complete this in only 9 mos!  Here are some pics of the site plus a pic of state bird.

State bird, these mosquitos are for real!

After a few pics we enjoyed a great lunch and a little museum all in walking distance.

We were now ready to hit the road again, destination Fairbanks. But one more stop was required before we called it a night....the North Pole, I saw nothing good coming from passing up Santa so a stop at his workshop was in order.

And of course we had to visit Rudolf and crew.

After a full day we found us a spot in Fairbanks, probably stay a few days.
