Day 18 Grande Prairie

We have had a snowy day. We took the Big Horn Highway today, it is called the scenic highway to Alaska. It was a nice ride except for dealing with snow the entire day. Having numerous 7% grade hills pulling a camper in the snow kinda kept you occupied with more than then scenery. Although we did have opportunity to see how pretty the snow covered trees look. I think the bad weather kept most of the animals out of sight too. We did see a bear and Carvel saw a coyote, but i missed it. Before we left our campground this morning we saw a big elk. We did make it to Grande Prairie without any problems. We have been blessed with safe travels. We possibly will be here a few days due to forecasted weather, giving 4 inches tonight and more Saturday. We are safe, warm and have plenty of food so no complaints here. Here are a few of our pics from today.

We stopped in visitors center and they were highlighting their main employment in the area.  The main two were corrections and coal mining, what a coincidence.

When the weather breaks we will be heading to Dawson Creek, which is on the British Columbia border.
