Day 22 Liard River Hot Springs

We try to talk to as many people as we can to find spots you may otherwise miss. One place we kept hearing about was the Liards Hot Springs. They even have a campground in this provincial park. The area is extremely remote but right on the Alaskan highway so we decided to give it a try. The area is so remote there is no electricity or sewage system and water is from a community spigot at the campground. The only business runs off a huge generator. But let me digress and tell about awesome drive here. Everytime I think there can't be any new beauty to see we find more. We rode next to waterways the entire way. The are truly spectacular and supposedly great fishing. We did go on several steep grades again. I think i am starting to get used to them. I didn't notice nail marks in the seat today, lol. Here are some pics from today, btw i miss a great photo op this evening we walked across the road to see if a restaurant was open, four huge buffalo were between us and the unopened restaurant and it was one of the rare times I didnt have my phone.  Oh and i forgot to mention we had a great evening in the hot springs, parts were way to hot for me to even get in but down stream i found a spot just right. We got an unexpected wonderful surprise when we checked in today. They told us they were expecting to see the northern lights between 12 and 3 am. So wish us luck we get to see them!
