The weather wasn't the best but we decided to check out the historical little town of Keystone. Most of the shops hadn't opened for the season but their school and museum was open. What a great place. The school saw its last students in 1988, with only 8 remaining students. It had a large enrollment during its early years starting in the 1800's. This town was home to Carrie Ingle. The younger daughter that was made famous from the writings of her sidter Laura Ingle Wilder. I watched many an episode of Little House on the Prairie. Carrie had married a man who lived in Keystone. The museums had many of her pieces of jewelry and other memorabilia of the Ingles family. Primarily the museum showcased the school which still appeared as it did many decades ago. It was a wonderful place to visit and then we enjoyed lunch at the highly favored Ruby's Restaurant. We all agreed, we had a great meal and didn't leave hungry. Here are my pictures from our outing.
