Day 50 On the mends sorta

Well of course I had to get sick, but not totally down and we both are up to moving on especially since its only about 70 miles to next stop. We are going to Portage to camp and drive over a few miles to Whittier to look around. There are lots of glaciers in the area and Whittier lies on Prince William Sound. We are staying a US Forestry Campground called Willawaw. Before leaving out this morning we heard about a place to watch the salmon jump. I was hoping to see this so we made a quick trip 6 miles up the road. It was an awesome sight to see. They are just starting to run and peak time is July into August. After getting to camp we discovered we had an awesome view of a glacier and there is a huge waterfall coming off mountainside. They have some great trails here to walk and explore. Just don't forget bug repellent and bear spray!  We also walked up to visitors center which had a museum and watched a great movie about the area. Here are todays pics. 

I guess everyone appreciates a nice glacier!
