Day 40 & 41 Homer Spit and Homer

This is surely a fisherman paradise. I have never seen so many people fishing and catching huge fish. The salmon truly jump up everywhere and the halibut are gigantic. There are areas set up everywhere for locals to clean and filet the fish and restaurants will fix what you catch. It is so wild seeing the ocean and snow capped mountains. We learned also that the tide changes here are the among the largest in the world. It goes up 28 feet twice a day. You can truly see it rise and fall. Sea otters are everywhere swimming and swans migrated return in June. The most exciting thing is seeing all the bald eagles. They are everywhere and  almost seem to be posted keeping watch.  The wildflowers here are beautiful and abundant. We have been to a couple great museums since being here as well as many great other sites. Here are my pics for last couple days
