Day 46 Exit Glacier

There is one glacier that you can take a short hike to and be really close named Exit Glacier. We were hoping to be able to actually lay hands on it but since it has receded in the last few years it is virtually inaccessible due to safety issues. You are still very close and enjoy its beauty. Here are some pics from our hike to Exit glacier.

Here are a few more pics around town from today. A wild thing occurred today an rv parked next to us last night and the man saw our Ky tags today and came over and he is from my area! He and his wife are basically traveling the same route we are. Small world!

Cruise ship in port. That is also a coal belt to load on coal barges heading to Japan right in front of ship

Waterfall from snow run off

May not be the white sanded beaches in the south but those beautiful white mountains in back drop are awesome. But that water is COLD!

Cracked up with saw this chicken penitentiary. Had to wonder about owner!

This is best program up here. At all docks and any area where children get in water life jackets are provided free for use. All states should do this!  Sadly I wonder how long they would last in our area.
