Day twelve

Anxious to get closer to Quartzite we drove north on I-10 toward Phoenix. It was a great ride and I really got excited when i started seeing the tall cactus that you always see in westerns.  South of Phoenix were some beautiful peaks. Phoenix seemed to be spread out and the drive thru took a while and traffic was heavy especially as we started west. It is hard to believe its only 300+ miles to Los Angeles from Phoenix. We continued west and decided to stay the night in a campground right off the interstate. We are only about 80 miles from where we plan to stay for a few days in Quartzite. We want to get stocked on things we will need and our tanks filled before heading into the desert.  We plan on staying off the grid and services will be limited for a while.  I am happy to report the sun is out and its warm enough to open our door, plus we got a nice walk in around the park.

A few pics of our sites today including our stop at the Saddle Mountain RV Park.
