Day ten - The ride around the storm

Due to the weather forecast, our planned route had to be adjusted.  We decided we needed to head directly south to get around the impending snow.  We headed south on I-25, it was a very easy drive, not much traffic and good road conditions.  We traveled a few hrs and then took a short cut over to I-10.  The short cut took us thru the town of Hatch.  They claim to be the world capital of chili peppers.  I am convinced, because they have peppers hanging on long strings everywhere.  We saw fields full of the plants with the bright red peppers still on them.  We even passed a truck with his truck bed and a tall cage full of peppers going thru town.  We traveled about 50 miles to the town of Deming to spend the night at the Low Hi Ranch RV Park.  Sure glad we got set up when we did, because the rain started soon after we arrived.  If your wondering where Deming is, it is 30 miles north of the Mexico border, about 110 miles west of El Paso, Tx  and 185 southeast of Tucson.  I will share a few pictures of sites along the road today.
