Day fourteen - first full day in desert

Our first full day in quartzsite has been relaxing. We woke up to the sun shining and by the time our coffee was made (thank goodness for generator) it was already getting warm. We fixed breakfast and decided to take a walk. It was nice seeing different sites that the desert offers. It is not sandy here, but instead covered in volcanic rock.  We have figured out this is a popular place for ATV riders.  I guess all the wide open space with dry water beds make for fun riding.  Here are a couple pics from our walk.

We decided later into the day to ride into town to see the sights. It was nearly 4 o'clock and most of the booths were starting to shut down, so we learned we will have to start earlier next time.   This week is mainly gem sellers in town which is obviously popular with lots of people, but I'm anxious for next week for the RV Show.
