Calico Ghost Town is located where the change of seasons brings high winds, i had never experienced winds like those without being in a thunderstorm. After a day and night of high up to 60 mi winds the forecast gave a 8 hr reprieve until the next even stronger winds arrived. We got up very early and hit the road to try to get ahead and out of the worse winds. Since we hadnt made any plans and left in a hurry we went to the closest town which was Las Vegas. You can go for miles and not see anything out in this area, so knowing there were plenty of campgrounds we headed to Vegas. I was so happy to get there because the whole trip we could see sand storms behind us. Its hard to tell from my pictures but you can see how bad the sky looked.

Needless to say after getting to Las Vegas we were happy to stay put that evening. The next day the temp was cool and had light winds so we decided to go to the Ethel M chocolate factory, its a gourmet chocolate like Godiva and they also own M&M. The factory was so clean and they even had a cactus garden outside they decorate for holidays. It was nice to get a sample and of course bought a few pieces too.
I had to think of the Lucy Show when she worked packing candy and the line went too fast. There were 2 woman who grabbed the chocolate and boxed them who made it look easy.
Oh Chocolate....yum, just yum!
