Day 45 & 46

We have had a quick couple days. We started out going to Montezuma Castle. The name is misleading Montezuma was never there. The ancient natives inhabited the area hundreds of yrs ago. It is really unbelievable how intact these remains are. Very little restoration has been done

The next stop was Montezumas well, it was a few miles down the road. They don't understand much about this water source and only 5 things live in it, a one cell species, a tiny shrimp like object, and another i can't remember, but leeches are the primary resident. No fish live in the water and there is a 65 feet false bottom then what they call vents. They have attempted to put cameras in the vents but they are continually pushed out. The natives say anything that goes into the vents will not return. Very dark but clear water.  

After this stop we headed to Sedona. I have never seen a more beautiful city and  landscape. It will take your breath as you drive into the area. The bright red mountains and beautiful adobe style buildings are awesome. I know these pics do not show the grandness of the mountains and canyons but you will get an idea. Also, we visited a church built into a hillside....OMG breath taking!!! Here you go. Put this area on your bucket list.
