Day 48 & 49

We left Cottonwood heading to Williams. It is our next stop and plan to stay til Monday. Williams is another small town on the old Rt 66. It is also the main gateway into the Grand Canyon. It has railway that runs a daily train into the Grand Canyon and we are taking it up Sunday to celebrate Carvels birthday and Valentine Day. The trip up to Flagstaff was so pretty as we hit elevations over 7000 feet.

Today was so much fun walking around town. Williams is so cute and lots of tourist are here. I can't imagine how crowded it is in summer. They have had over 70 inches of snow here this winter but are breaking records in the area for heat. So it is wild seeing snow and people wearing shorts and sandals.

After walking all over town we decided to stop and get us a snack and enjoy this nice weather.

Oh yeah and Carvel had to stop and talk to the conductor about our trip tomorrow. Seriously, he did.
