Day 66

Left Shreveport heading into Mississippi. It has been a cloudy but warm day.  Luckily the storms stayed just north of us. We got into MIssissippi pretty quick, enjoyed a visitors center right inside the state that had great overlooks of the mighty Mississippi River. We decided to find a stop for the night on the eastern side of Vicksburg. I really want to plan another trip to this area and do all the civil war historical sights. So much great history here. Found a campground on a historical plantation, just couldn't pass it up, it is named Askew Landing. 

I cannot believe I was walking distance of a casino and didn't go.
